ABOUT PRESERVATION PITTSBURGH
Preservation Pittsburgh is a non-profit advocacy group dedicated to preserving our region's historic, architectural, cultural, and environmental heritage. Our members, who include professional preservationists, architects, historians, artists, and other neighbors, are united by their concern that the future of Pittsburgh's irreplaceable architectural and landscape treasures are in jeopardy. Our primary goal is to promote the importance of preservation issues in the deliberations and decisions of public officials, private groups, developers and the general public.

With registration/donation, guests will be automatically entered to win a copy of Imagining the Modern: Architecture and Urbanism of the Pittsburgh Renaissance (The Monacelli Press, 2019). Through original documentation, photographs and drawings, as well as essays, analytical drawings, and interviews with participants, authors Rami el Samahy, Chris Grimley and Michael Kubo explore Pittsburgh’s ambitious modern architecture and urban renewal program that made it a gem of American postwar cities, and set the stage for its stature today. You may also purchase the book for $35 when registering for the tour. Proceeds will be received as a donation supporting the work of Preservation Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Modern Committee.
